Hakuba Iwatake Snowboard School is looking for staff who want to work and experience the joy of seeing people's smiles.

 

Snowboarding with friends to improve your snowboarding skills.

We want to convey to our customers the joy of snowboarding while also ensuring safety.

Job Vacancies

① Full-time instructor

...You will work about 5 days a week (shift system) and be involved in school operations.

 

② Part-time instructor

...You will discuss and decide on your preferred working schedule and then begin working at the school.

 

③ Volunteer instructors

...This is the same working style as a part-time instructor. This position is for people who are prohibited from working a second job and want to work at a school.

 

④ Team coach & assistant

...You will mainly be involved in the management of the team "White Monkeys". Most working days are when team training is held, but you can adjust your working hours according to the schedule of professional matches and other tournaments.

 

⑤ Trainees

This position is for people who want to become instructors and want to take the snowboarding exam or instructor qualification. You will work about five days a week and learn skills while working at the school.

Eligibility for recruitment (1)
  • People who like to see people's smiles and communicate with others
  •  People who are good at and like park and gra-tricks
  • People who are good at and like alpine snowboarding
  • Those who can understand Japanese and speak English, Chinese, or Taiwanese and have snowboarding or skiing experience
  • People who love children and want to share the joy of snowboarding with children while experiencing their smiles
  • Snowboard examiner qualifications
  • Those who have instructor or examiner qualifications but no teaching experience, those with teaching experience who want to return to teaching, etc.
  • Those who are aiming to obtain a JSBA certified qualification
  • We welcome people living in neighboring prefectures such as Nagano, Toyama, Ishikawa, and Niigata!!

Eligibility

Full-time and part-time instructors

  •  Those who have a Japan Snowboard Association (JSBA) certified C-class instructor or higher qualification

*Those without teaching experience can also apply. Please rest assured that we will support you in your debut lesson with training.

*Those who cannot have a second job can work as volunteer staff as a form of social contribution. (Transportation allowance provided)                    

Volunteer Instructor
  •  Those who cannot have a side job and who have a qualification of C-class instructor or higher certified by the Japan Snowboard Association

Team Coach & Assistant

  •  Professional snowboarders (mainly alpine and snowboard cross athletes)
  •  Professional athletes or people with experience of winning at the All Japan Championships who are looking for their own training environment
  •  Those with experience in national races or technical competitions and an interest in developing athletes 
  •  Those who want to acquire technical skills that can be used in races
Trainee
  •  Anyone aged 16 or over who wants to become an instructor
  •    Those who can make continuous turns on a snowboard

*You will receive free training and practical lessons to learn skills and aim to obtain the Japan Snowboard Association's snowboard certification and C-class instructor qualification.

*You will be supporting the school's operations and learning about the business.
*If you want to be an intern while earning an income, you can learn snowboarding techniques while working at Hakuba Iwatake Snowfield, so please contact us.

 Salary

 Base salary: Lesson salary based on qualifications (commission system) + ability salary (fixed monthly allowance)

 

  1.  Individual contracts based on ability, experience, and qualifications (preferential treatment given to those with teaching experience and qualifications)
  2.  Work allowances are provided based on the number of days worked (instruction hours)
  3.  Various allowances available (event implementation, appointment fee, examiner, foreign language lessons, group, business trip, SNS & HP editing, etc.)
  4.  Position allowances available (e.g. Badge test supervisor, Park & Gratrice lesson supervisor, etc.)
  5.  About the trainees

*Trainees do not receive any lesson income because they do not have any qualifications.

 

*If you have skills such as clerical work, editing and posting on social media, creating websites, or interpreting foreign languages, even trainees can earn an income through school work outside of lessons.

 

*You can earn money working at Hakuba Iwatake Snowfield three days a week (on weekends or other days) at the resort, in the parking lot, restaurant or lifts, and take snowboarding training courses during the week to obtain qualifications.

  • Dormitory provided (Full-time: Dormitory and meal fees apply / Part-time: 500 yen per night (2 meals included))

   *The dormitory has a limited capacity. Commuting from home is also possible.

  • Training to improve lesson skills (snowboarding techniques, customer service, safety management)
  • Conduct training to acquire advanced instructor and examiner qualifications (JSBA certified A, B, A-ken, B-ken, C-ken)
  • Support for JSBA certified B-class instructor pre-training fees
  • Conduct training to pass the badge test (Badge test: Snowboarding test certified by the Japan Snowboard Association)
  • We will support your badge test pre-course fees and exam fees
  • Tune-up room available
  • Training room and conditioning equipment available
  • Use of school affiliated tune-up shops
  • Support for equipment through in-house sales of snowboarding equipment   

 (In-house sales) - This is a system to support staff instructor activities.
